Why Bring the Kids?

Really, the question you should be asking is WHY NOT bring the kids!

California 460a

To us, bringing the kids is a way of thinking that guides the way that we raise our family. It’s a mindset that drives our actions.  Adventurous parents think more about what they want to go do than all of the reasons why they can’t do things.

212I mean we’ve all heard it: “I can’t do that with my kids” “I can’t wait until my kids are older, then we’ll start doing fun things together” or the classic “before I had kids, I used to …(insert any fun activity here)”.

SERIOUSLY??

Has our society degenerated so much that we think that when we have kids, any and all adventures we want to have must end? Wow…bummer! This blog is about fighting that idea. Showing people that you can have kids and be adventurous. Do it for yourself, and do it for your kids. They will thank you and you’ll thank yourself too!

Here, we will challenge the norm and get out with our family.  From traveling the world and bigger expeditions to local skiing and day hikes.

Here we adopt the mindset of what CAN I do with my kids instead of what CAN’T I do because of them.

We will be different because that is what we choose to be, and how we choose to live. Grab your kids and join us for the ride!

  1. I couldn’t agree with you more: Why not bring the kids? I think having kids has actually pushed us to many more and different things than we did before. The adventures we’ve had together at every age are much more rewarding than anything else I can imagine! Thanks for writing this blog. BTW, I read your “About” section and think we may have been separated at birth! :0)

  4. It is so good to find kindred spirits along the way, fighting to bring the kids into the adventure! I actually grew in Colorado skiing my whole life and we recent moved to Utah! I’ll have to refer our colorado readers your direction for Colorado specific articles.
