Naked burritos are a great food to enjoy whether you’re at home or in the woods. With a little bit of preparation these can easily become a go-to family meal.

1 lb chicken
1 package taco seasoning
2 cups of prepared rice (we suggest minute rice if camping)
1 cup of salsa
1 can of beans (black or pinto)
Chopped green onions
Before you leave home: Cook chicken, 1/2 cup of water, and taco seasoning in a crock pot on high for 4 hours. Shred the chicken. Store shredded chicken in a ziploc bag and freeze.
At camp: Heat ingredients over a camp stove (chicken, rice, beans). Have each person assemble their own naked burrito with rice and whatever toppings they wish to include. Easy peasy!
