What? It’s still 95 degrees outside? As crazy as it may sound, now is the perfect time to start thinking about winter sports. During the summer and early fall, most ski resorts offer great deals on passes and lift tickets that can’t be beat once the snow starts falling. A little bit of extra planning now can save you big this winter and insure that your days include lots of
hot chocolate breaks powder.
Here in Colorado, a majority of the resorts cost around $90/day for a one day lift ticket. If you act soon, you can get a season pass to Breckenridge, Keystone, and A-Basin starting at $409 here. Or if you want to ski at Copper Mountain and Winter Park, it’s only $409 here. Our favorite is skiing at Arapahoe Basin with the kids and you can score a screaming deal on a season pass for just $309 here. If you’re not thinking that you will get up a lot this year, A-basins 4 packs are a killer deal. I think we paid $129 for ours last year. The best part about them is that they are totally transferable, so if you don’t get enough days in, you can always share them with a friend (but you have to stalk local ski swaps since they don’t sell them online)
As you’ll soon find out we’re pretty obsessed with winter sports and luckily our kids think they’re rad too!
